Consular Legalisation
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION FOR CONSULAR LEGALISATION:
The Consular Section is authorised to legalise only documents originated from the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of Liberia.
Consideration of documents, submitted for legalisation, may take up to five (5) working days.
It is obligatory to present original of the document, submitted for legalisation.
For consular legalisation, an applicant shall submit:
- A document (in original and copy) certified by the Judicial Service of the Republic of Ghana (or the Republic of Liberia – for Liberian documents) and subsequently legalised by the Legal and Consular Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana (or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia) and;
- A copy of the front page of the valid passport of the applicant;
- Filled application form for legalisation;
- WAEC Scratch Card with code for results checking (obligatory only for legalisation of West African Examination Certificates).
